The Eindhoven Football Association PSV (Philips Sport Vereeniging) was founded on August 31, 1913 during a grand Philips sports events, organized to celebrate 100 years of independence from the Netherlands. The club started as a factory team of Philips and entered the Dutch league in 1915. In less than ten years, PSV managed to rise to the highest league of Dutch football. The club has not relegated since 1926. In its 107 years of existence, PSV became Dutch champion 24 times in total, nine times national cup winner, won the Johan Cruijff Shield eleven times, in 1978 the UEFA Cup and in 1988 the European Cup I. And therefore is one of the most successful Dutch clubs.

PSV wants to make a positive contribution to society. The football club sees social involvement as a natural part of its actions. It’s in the heart, just like football. PSV has therefore set up the PSV Foundation and thereby supports various initiatives which have a positive impact within the society.
